Updating from Location Tracker

This update introduces temporary household handoffs in place of location sharing. To use handoffs, create a new handoff account and pair again. Your previous location-sharing pairing is separate from the new service.

Pair your phones

You and your partner each create a private account in Handoff for Two. One of you taps Invite my partner and shares the pairing code directly. The other opens the app and chooses Enter a code.

When plans change

From Our handoffs, tap Ask your partner to cover. Start from an example or enter your own request. Set the time to reply by and the time the temporary handoff ends. Until your partner explicitly accepts, the original owner remains responsible. Open the app to sync. You can use Notify partner to send a message through the iOS share sheet.

Move to another iPhone

Open Settings → Access key on your current iPhone. Save it privately and use Restore account on the new iPhone. Treat your access key like a password.

Report, block, or delete

Go to Settings in the app to report or block a partner, disconnect, or delete your account. Disconnecting deletes the shared handoffs for both people. For help with a report, email us without including private information about children or other people.
